Celebrating Bradford-born David Hockney’s 80th Birthday and the opening of the new David Hockney Gallery at Cartwright Hall, in partnership with Bradford Museums and Galleries. The party included a parade by Handmade Parade, iPad drawing, a new work of art made in collaboration with older citizens, sketching, dancing, balloon modelling and a Hocknification Station.

With added flowers and springtime colour the Wild Woods of Darley Street opened its fairy doors for a second season of magical events. Reclaiming the public realm, over 2000 visitors to Darley Street found space hoppers, street bands, bangra performances, bulb planting, collage workshops, roller skaters and a rainbow disco dance floor.

A once familiar clearing in Darley Street, transformed into an enchanted forest where the creative spirit of Bradford grows free. The Woods played host to a packed programme of after dark adventures and spontaneous happenings. Music, food, workshops, stories, games and magic. The Wild Woods was part of Bradford's Season of Light.

RITE
Islington Mill, Salford

A wild solstice celebration at Islington Mill. Golden foliage, shadow projections, shamans, nymphs and bird song. The indoor space and courtyard was transformed and played host to drawing and wishing workshops, pop-up opera performances, light installations, a brass band, fire, food and flowers. We danced until sunrise.

FOOL
Victoria Baths, Manchester

A glitzy cabaret in an empty Edwardian swimming baths. A series of 25, three-minute performances based on the theme ‘FOOL’. The programme included two community choirs, three drag queens, a clarinet quartet, contemporary dance, spoken word, fortune telling and DJs.
